The Buffalo Bills (5-1) are getting closer and closer to taking on the back-to-back MVP QB Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (3-4). Two teams going in two different directions.
Buffalo is on a trajectory to a Super Bowl, looking to get even juicer. Meanwhile the Packers are dealing with the fallout of their quarterback's most recent public criticisms of the play of his teammates in the midst of a three-game losing streak.
Rodgers was quoted about the accountability of his teammates and the level of play.
"So, maybe that’s talking about a conversation that’s behind closed doors in public, but the level of accountability is the standard here. Again, I don’t think it should be a problem to any of those guys to hear criticism. We all hear criticism in our own ways, and we’ve all got to be OK with it and take it in and process it…
I’m not going to be a robot up here. I don’t understand why people have a problem with things that are truthful. You know, I’m calling things the way I see it. If people don’t think I need to air that stuff out, that’s their opinion. But I’m doing what I think is in the best interests of our guys, and I’ve tried a lot of different things from a leadership standpoint this year. And I was relating my personal feelings on the situation. I didn’t call anybody out by name."
Even going so far as to double-down on those comments on his usual visit to The Pat McAfee Show.
While not seen as a popular tactic, fellow future Hall of Famer, Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller has his own beliefs on accountability.
Speaking on The Crew, hosted by Josina Anderson, Miller spoke out on Rodgers comments. Specifically on his own leadership style.

"There are many different ways to lead. Ya know? And there are many different ways to be effective at leading, and being a captain of your team. And sometimes, and I know this for a fact, sometimes you can't look for a perfect time to lead…
… I don't believe in doing that to my guys. Ya know? I like to pull guys to the side. Or have them come over to my house, or me go to their house and I put the individual time in every player…
… Me personally? No. I don't lead that way. Just because I would do something a different way, doesn't make it right or wrong."
While Miller, one of the more respected players in the league wouldn't directly criticize Rodgers, choosing a lighter tactic, it shows the difference in leadership they both have.
Whether you agree with one style or not, on the field, it appears the Buffalo Bills captain's way is paying off with better results.
