Let's be frank for a second. Even in a loss, that may have been their best game of the season. The Broncos played both sides of the ball well, especially the offense when we were not expecting it.

The fact that this team scored 21 straight points to come back from down 27-0 says something. There was something different about the offense in this one, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

I think everyone saw and noticed how well Jerry Jeudy was playing, in what was probably the best game of his career. He was the factor.

"I thought Jerry really stepped up," Hackett said postgame. "With Courtland (Sutton) being down, a lot of guys being down, K.J. (Hamler), Tim (Patrick), all of those guys. Jerry is a guy that had an opportunity. We changed his position this week, and he went out there and embraced it.

"It was hard at first because they started doubling him, they were trying to take him away, they knew we wanted to attack him… He just kept his head down and kept working. It showed up with those three touchdowns."

When he says it was hard at first, he is referring to the frustration Jeudy showed towards a ref during the game.

To know that Jeudy played a new position in this game and did what he did is crazy. Not only that, but him playing a new position and the offense flowing better just makes it even crazier.

Jeudy lined up in the X position for the majority of the game. Two of his three touchdowns came at the X position. He usually runs the slot or Z, so he was indeed playing a new position Sunday. According to Pro Football Focus, Jeudy has been in the slot for 69% of his snaps lined up as a receiver. The X receiver is usually lined up opposite of the tight end.

I'm not going to say that was the main reason the offense was so good on offense, but it could be a factor. Giving Jeudy space on the outside to make a play is important, and he did that all day.

If this was the reason the Broncos' offense played so well, we may need to see some more of it.
