The Philadelphia Eagles have mastered the art of winning in 2022. But, just because they are 6-0 right now and have some fairly easy opponents coming up, doesn't mean they're immune to losing, because this is the NFL, and anyone can lose.

The Eagles are faced with a matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, so, they will still be at their home away from home. But, they will be playing a Steelers team that competes no matter how bad their record is.

And, they have a rookie quarterback in Kenny Pickett who is better than people think, and Eagles' head coach Nick Sirianni knows that too. On Wednesday, Sirianni broke down what he liked about him in college, and why he could be a problem for the Eagles.

"Yeah I was a big Kenny Pickett fan, I thought he was a good football player," said Sirianni. "… Man, he had one of the best seasons since a guy named [Dan] Marino over there, right, which is darn impressive. I thought he was an accurate passer, I thought he was a quick decision-maker, I thought he was a very good, underrated guy with his legs.

"He may have had one of the coolest plays anyone has seen in that ACC Championship game when he pretended to slide, the guy stopped, and then he went for a touchdown. So much so that they made a rule about it, right? I thought also he was very intelligent… Getting into how he is playing, you are just going to keep seeing him get better. From everything I know about him, I think he will continue to get better because I think he has a lot of tools."

The Eagles have a pretty easy schedule after their Week 7 bye and it starts with the Steelers. But, the win isn't going to be handed to them on a silver platter. While Pickett is a rookie and has had some bad moments, we have also seen him have moments where he looks very good.

Last game, for example, he was 32/44 which is a 72.73% completion percentage with 257 yards, and one touchdown. He looked really good, besides the three interceptions he threw. The Steelers aren't the worst team in the league, and we could see how good Pickett is on Sunday.

Sirianni and the Eagles are taking the correct approach in avoiding underestimating Pickett simply because of his rookie status. He's a first-rounder for a reason and just because his play has been up-and-down, it doesn't automatically mean he'll play like a rookie this weekend.

Either way, the Eagles certainly don't want to find out what he's truly capable of.
