Buffalo Bills

You know, I know it, anyone remotely familiar with Buffalo Bills football knows it.

Quarterback Josh Allen leads the team in rushing yards. This was impressive early in the season but now that the Bills have played fourteen games of NFL football and Allen STILL leads the team (with a 21-yard edge, too) is bonkers.

The guy who gets paid millions of dollars to throw the football is also averaging over 50 yards per game for Buffalo. But forget about stats for a moment. It's how he's getting those rushing yards, too. Hurdling defenders, lowering the shoulder and showing the toughness of an All-Pro running back.

He has the highest PFF rushing grade among non-running backs in the entire NFL. He's fifth in rushing attempts among such a group. And while most of those come in scrambles, the Bills have also incorporated designed rush attempts for the quarterback.

Most times, you can confidently say he's the best rushing quarterback in a game. That might not be the case when the Bills take Soldier Field to face Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields.

The kid has been electric. Most recently in Week 15, Fields became the third quarterback in NFL history to rush for 1,000+ yards in a single season, per the Bears' PR team. He averages seven yards per carry and is an absolute headache to deal with.

I mean, just look at this run he broke out against the 13-1 Philadelphia Eagles last weekend.

In a game expected to be played under punishing weather conditions (with a RealFeel forecast of -13°), running the football will be key for both teams. Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey went as far as saying they've got two separate game plans heading into this game.

For the Bears and Bills, that doesn't necessarily mean pounding the rock with their running backs. Get ready for a lot of quarterback runs on this one.

And let me tell you something. If Josh Allen outruns Justin Fields in Week 16, he'll just be adding to an already long list of epic accolades. I don't care about the numbers. Let's see who finishes with the most impressive run on Saturday.
