The Miami Dolphins are a game behind the Buffalo Bills for the AFC East lead and the number one seed.
Both sides met early in the season with the Dolphins winning the first matchup, setting the stage for the eventual rematch. In the elements, in Buffalo, near the end of the season.
Unfortunately for Buffalo, they will be without a key piece moving forward. Including this rematch.
With the recent news that All-Pro edge rusher Von Miller is out for the year, it points the pendulum in the Dolphins direction once again.
In their first game, Miller obtained three pressures all game. Going up often against OT Terron Armstead, who continues to rehab a pectoral strain.
While not having Armstead is a huge loss for Miami, it's lightened with the equally devastating loss of Miller for the Bills. Whom, despite not playing last week is still the Bills best pass rusher from a statistical standpoint.
8.0 sacks, 27 pressures and 16 QB hurries all lead Buffalo by a wide margin. The next closest players are Gregory Rousseau and AJ Epenesa. Both of whom have dealt with injuries on the season.
As the Miami Dolphins continue to deal with their offensive line depth, pass rush will be at a much larger relief. Once they finish their game with the Chargers, the Dolphins OL vs the Bills pass rush will be ultimately decides the contest.
