Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill pulls back the curtain on his rehab journey
It’s a long road back for wide receiver Tyreek Hill after a major injury last season. The former Miami Dolphins star pulls back the curtain on where he’s at.
The last time we saw Tyreek Hill in a Miami Dolphins uniform, he was being helped off the field after a horrific knee injury suffered in Week 4 of the 2025 season against the New York Jets.
It is, almost certainly, the last time we see Hill in pads with the Dolphins. Miami cut ties with Hill this offseason as part of both a cost cutting approach and a youth movement in South Florida. The team’s new direction may not have had room for Hill’s hefty salary even if his year wasn’t cut short in September. The injury has left Hill with a long road back, and he’ll need to reach a certain threshold before he can find a new team. On Wednesday, Hill pulled the curtain back on his rehab.

“So it’s about 10 months after doing two surgeries. My left leg is the one I injured, I have no power in my left leg at all. So I’m trying to regain all the power back in my left leg. But it’s one day at a time,” explained Hill amid a series of strength and speed training exercises.
It’s good to see Hill (literally and figuratively) back on his feet. No, his tenure in Miami wasn’t always rosy. It came with plenty of flaws and frustrations and things everyone probably regrets. But you never want to see anyone go out the way Hill did last season.
Hill’s work continues. Making it back to the NFL will be an incredible accomplishment. And I hope that he does exactly that. Although it’s probably safe to assume it won’t be with the Miami Dolphins.
