The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to bounce back in Week 9 after a horrid loss in Week 8 to the New Orleans Saints. In case you missed it, the Raiders were shut out 24-0 to a team that allowed the second most points per game in the league at the time.

Obviously, last Sunday helped those numbers a bit.

Teams don't get shut out often in this league. Good teams almost never get shut out. So, I think we are past the point of saying the Raiders are a good team.

So, how does a team bounce back after a loss like that? What does a team do when they thought things were trending in the right direction, and the season was potentially turned around, then bang, they get shut out?

How does a team come back from something like that, especially when the offense is supposed to be the strong suit of this team? Well, it starts in practice the very next week. Clean things up, and work.

"100%. No question," McDaniels said when asked if he was proud of his team for bouncing back in practice this week. "I support them, and I said that after the game. Anytime that happens, that starts with me. I love the effort they come to work with every day, and the preparation they are going through, and the time that they have spent getting ready. This is the ultimate team sport, and I love my team."

The message McDaniels is showing he is sending his team is great and all, but there is one problem. They aren't winning, and unfortunately for them, it's the only thing that really matters.

You can't keep having this same message every week. You can't keep saying every week that you have to be better as a coach in preparing them, because that means nine weeks in you still aren't doing your job, which is exactly why talk is cheap right now.
