It seems like there's always someone out there trying to make Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes look bad.

That's tough to do. So that means people have to misrepresent facts at times.

The latest example of this came on Wednesday via a tweet from Warren Sharp, one of the more popular NFL analytics experts.

Sharp tweeted about the quarterbacks with the most touchdowns in their career before their 24th birthday.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was at the top of the list with 87. Sharp then listed six other quarterbacks and their totals, before getting to Mahomes.

Here's the tweet.

The only reason to frame this tweet this way is to make Mahomes look bad.

Because if you add in some context, it makes it look a whole lot different.

Mahomes played in 19 games before his 24th birthday. Jackson, on the other hand, played in 46 games before his 24th birthday.

If you want a fair comparison, Mahomes had 120 touchdowns through 46 games.

See how easy it was to make Mahomes look bad, just by twisting the numbers a bit?

I'm not sure why some national media analysts are determined to tear down Mahomes. It doesn't make any sense. But they're going to have to try harder. Nearly every stat out there tells us that Mahomes is one of the best players in the NFL.
