Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Josh Dobbs is looking for a new home after spending most of the last five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dobbs was drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Steelers. He was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars during the early part of the 2019 season, but he landed back with Pittsburgh in 2020.

The Steelers signed free agent quarterback Mitch Trubisky earlier this offseason, joining Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins in Pittsburgh's quarterback room. The Steelers are also expected to draft another quarterback, which leaves no room for Dobbs.

According to a report from Pro Football Network's Aaron Wilson, Dobbs recently worked out for the Baltimore Ravens.

Former Vols quarterback and assistant coach Tee Martin is the Ravens' wide receivers coach. Martin never coached Dobbs or played with him at Tennessee, but it makes sense that they're very familiar with each other.

Dobbs has also worked out for the New England Patriots this offseason.

At this point, it's clear that Dobbs probably isn't getting a shot as a starting quarterback in the NFL. But he can still land a gig as a quality backup.

The hope for Dobbs is to find a situation where he can serve as the No. 2 quarterback instead of the No. 3 quarterback. That would at least give him a realistic path to getting on the field.
