You never know what questions will get asked at SEC Media Days.

Coaches and players almost always get asked a couple of wild questions — it’s one of the fun things about the annual event.

Which is why it’s no surprise that Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel was asked on Monday whether he believes that the United States actually landed on the moon in 1969.

Heupel was asked the question during an appearance on Hutton and Withrow, and he quickly made it clear that he thinks the moon landing happened.

The Tennessee head coach, however, isn’t completely out on conspiracy theories. Heupel revealed that he’s a JFK assassination conspiracy guy.

“Absolutely we went to the moon,” said Heupel. “But the JFK assassination? I’m a big conspiracy guy.”

“This thing took a turn I did not foresee,” continued Heupel, who also noted that he’s not a believer in aliens or UFOs.

Heupel added that he’s willing to come back and chat with Hutton and Withrow about JFK conspiracy theories.

I’m not a big conspiracy guy either, but I might be with Heupel on the JFK one. And I think there are a lot of people who feel the same way. There’s just too much around that one to not believe that something may have been a bit fishy…
