The Tennessee Volunteers got arguably the biggest win in college football this season. The Vols beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in the most exciting offensive showdown of the season.

Both offenses dominated, and Hendon Hooker cemented a special legacy in Knoxville. Accordingly, Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt put his name in record books as well with a 5-touchdown performance.

All of it blended together for a massive victory for the Josh Heupel era as the head coach of the Vols.

Pure bliss for the Vols and their fans.

Now, Hooker just broke down his conversation with Josh Heupel on their final offensive drive.

This probably sends chill down the spines of Tennessee fans. For good reason, too.

It's just another example of the leader that Hooker has been in his time in college football. The Vols QB truly changed the program in ways that no one could have expected. His bond with Heupel showed how special of a head coach he is, too.

The two could have played it safe against the Crimson Tide. They had the chance to send it to overtime safely and take their chances in extra time. Instead, they had faith in themselves.

The Vols hadn't competed with Alabama in quite a long time. 2006 was the last time that the Vols defeated the Tide. Many of the games since then had been blowouts in favor of Alabama.

Heupel and Hooker changed that.

They seized the opportunity that Alabama gave them late in the game, and the game-winning kick will go down in Vols lore forever.
