Brian Flores, who was recently fired as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins, went scorched earth on Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and the NFL on Tuesday.
Flores is suing the NFL, claiming that Ross tried to pay him $100k per loss in 2019 because the Dolphins owner wanted the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft (which was eventually held by the Cincinnati Bengals and used to select Joe Burrow).
(The entire lawsuit can be viewed here.)

Flores also alleges that Ross pressured him to pursue a "prominent" quarterback — assumed to be Tom Brady — after the 2019 season when he wasn't allowed to be in contact with the legendary quarterback.

We've heard plenty of talk about teams tanking to get the No. 1 overall pick before. And I've always believed that it's a real thing that happens. But it's absolutely wild to see that an owner (allegedly) offered to pay a head coach to LOSE games.
It's pretty easy to see why Flores isn't in Miami anymore — the Dolphins' owner doesn't exactly seem stable.
Additionally, Flores claims that New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick texted him — thinking it was Brian Daboll — to congratulate him on getting the New York Giants job. The text from Belichick happened before Flores' interview with the Giants, which seems to indicate the interview was a total sham.
This is going to be an interesting situation to monitor, but it certainly appears that Flores has the receipts to back up his claims.
