Titans Head Coach Mike Vrabel had some key points after his team's disappointing loss to the New York Jets yesterday. There were a handful of takeaways from his Monday press conference.

Good start

Vrabel mentioned how well the defense for the Titans played early in the game. He's absolutely right. The play tailed off as the Jets gained momentum with defensive stops of their own, though. Just like many other parts of the team currently, more consistency is needed.

Improvement in the red-zone

The Jets are one of the better defenses inside the 20 in the NFL so far this season, and Vrabel discussed that. He said efficiency and "not getting behind the sticks" in those situations will play a big role going forward.

Taking advantage of opportunities in the red-zone was a key aspect of the Titans' offense last season. They will need to iron those issues out sooner rather than later. The slip-ups cannot become the norm from Todd Downing and the offense.

Receivers' performance

If Julio Jones and/or A.J. Brown continue to miss time, the Titans will need these guys to step up. Cameron Batson caught an important touchdown, and Chester Rogers was a third-down machine late in the game. Regardless, they need consistency from them. That becomes easier if the offensive line play improves as well.

Update on Julio Jones & A.J. Brown?

There was not too much to update from Vrabel regarding the star receivers. Their practice capabilities for the week are still up in the air.

Clearly, the Titans need them back as soon as possible. Their play helps the offensive line, the unit that may have struggled the most in Week 4. Both players also take some of the pressure off of QB Ryan Tannehill.

Only time will tell what adjustments are made following the loss to the Jets. Tennessee takes on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5.
