The Tennessee Titans made a move to bolster its pass rush with the signing of 2017 first-rounder Takk McKinley to the practice squad.
The move came on Friday after the team elevated CB Chris Jackson to the 53-man roster.
McKinley spent his first four seasons (2017-2020) in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons. There he recorded 79 tackles and 17.5 sacks.
After his release McKinley signed with the Cleveland Browns in 2021. In Cleveland he played in 11 games with two starts, finishing the years with 18 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
McKinley joins a Titans pass rush that is coming off five sacks in the team’s Week 1 loss to the New York Giants.
McKinley starred at UCLA and was named first-team All-Pac-12 after recording 10.5 sacks in his junior season.
It’s a low risk move for the Titans, who are already without Harold Landry for the season.
The Titans know as well as anybody that it's impossible to have too many pass rushers in the NFL.
