It’s difficult to look worse than the Tennessee Titans did after being pulverized by the Buffalo Bills in a 41-7 beat down on Monday Night Football.

With the loss, the Titans are off to an 0-2 start for the first time since 2012.

For those wondering, that was the same season that QB Jake Locker and head coach Mike Munchak would go on to lead the Titans to a 6-10 campaign.

The 34-point margin of defeat marks the worst loss since Mike Vrabel was hired in 2018.

The Titans were dominated in all three phases. Ryan Tannehill tossed two interceptions, the defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed, and the Titans muffed two punts.

It was an unmitigated disaster.

As Vrabel marinates in the worst showing under his command, perhaps he can ponder some changes to the coaching staff.

Bills DC Leslie Frazier was playing chess while Todd Downing was playing hopscotch. Downing is more committed to the toss play than the Pope is to the Catholic Church.

Vrabel knows that by firing Downing as the offensive coordinator it would essentially be him admitting that the decision to retain the Titans’ play caller was a mistake.

Vrabel is too proud to admit to such a mishap. So don't hold your breath on a change at play caller happening any time soon, Titans fans.

Gotta coach better, gotta play better. On to next week.

Spare me.
