It wasn't pretty — at least not in the second half — but the Cincinnati Bengals left Foxborough on Saturday with a 22-18 win against the New England Patriots.

At one point, the Bengals led the Pats 22-0, but they nearly blew the game thanks to six fruitless drives in the second half.

After the game, Cincy QB Joe Burrow spoke to reporters and made two important comments.

Burrow told reporters that it was the offense's fault for not putting the game away and having to rely on the defense to secure the win.

"I feel like we shouldn't have been in that situation if we (the offense) had taken care of business," said Burrow after the win.

While Burrow was frustrated that the offense wasn't able to put the game away, he made it clear that he wasn't going to apologize for winning the game.

"Never gonna apologize for a win," said Burrow. "Just going to keep finding ways to do it."

Everything about the way Burrow handled that post-game presser was perfect. It's exactly the way an elite leader should handle that situation.

Burrow took responsibility for not putting the game away on offense, while also expressing happiness about the win. That's what leaders do — criticize what needs to be criticized while recognizing that any win is a good win.

The Bengals are finding ways to win when it matters. As long as they keep doing that into February, the margin of victory doesn't matter.
