The Cincinnati Bengals left Foxborough on Saturday with a win over the New England Patriots, but that doesn't mean Cincy defensive back Eli Apple was happy after the game.

After the win against the Patriots, Apple called out New England quarterback Mac Jones for a dirty block.

“Of course I did (notice it). He tripped me,” said Apple to NESN. “I thought it was a dirty play. He’s done that before, I’ve seen it.”

Here's the play that Apple was referencing.

Apple was right to call out Jones for that dirty hit. It's far from the first time that Jones has done something shady on the football field.

Jones has had several instances of "dirty plays" so far in his career. Last season, he twisted the ankle of a Carolina Panthers defender. And earlier this season, Jones was caught trying to kick defenders as he was sliding.

Jones, quite simply, is a dirty player. And the only way for it to stop is for guys like Apple to call him out publicly. And even then, I don't know if it'll stop — this just seems to be who Jones is as a player.

It would be in his best interest, however, to change the way he plays. Otherwise, those hits from defenders might be a little less friendly in the future.
