Now, that's not to discredit the long-suffering Bengals fans that have stuck with the franchise through thick and thin — there are lots of Cincy fans who are anything but bandwagon fans.
But anytime a team starts having success after a down period, there are bound to be bandwagon fans that pop up.
And that's exactly what's happening with the Bengals right now, thanks to their Super Bowl run this past season.

A recent study from Betway analyzed the growth rate of each NFL team's official Instagram account over the last 12 months.
According to their study, Cincinnati's Instagram saw a 94.68 percent increase in its follower count. The next highest increase was the Los Angeles Rams (the defending Super Bowl champions, so no surprise there) at 51.8 percent.
The Cleveland Browns and the Houston Texans were at the very bottom of the list, with increases of 1.22 percent and 1.13 percent, respectively.
This isn't a phenomenon that's unique to the Bengals. If a team like the Carolina Panthers would've made a run to the Super Bowl last season, it would likely be them at the top of this list.
Ultimately, I think it's a good thing for the Bengals. The bigger the fan base the better for the franchise. I'm sure long-time die-hard fans aren't big fans of the bandwagoners, but it's something that comes with the territory when rooting for a Super Bowl-caliber team.
