The Tennessee Vols shocked the CFB world this past weekend when they beat the Alabama Crimson Tide.
It was a long time coming for the Vols. Some young Tennessee fans had never seen their favorite team beat Alabama.
Now, they have, and it was one of the best college football games in recent years.
However, for one fan, he paid quite the price to watch his Vols beat the Tide.
Matt Wheeler, lifelong Tennessee fan, tore his ACL while celebrating the game-winning kick for the Vols.
It was quite the trade that Wheeler had to make to see his favorite team beat a rival for the first time since 2006.
He said that the win was absolutely worth the injury. You can't really blame Wheeler, either.
In a moment like that, plenty of Vols' fans were losing their minds. Any fanbase would after a monumental win for their program.
Not to mention, the emotional ties between the Vols and Crimson Tide play a role as well.
College football in the SEC is something special, folks. The Vols learned that more than anyone this past weekend.
