Arkansas reporter makes Tennessee baseball prediction he'll likely regret

A week ago, an Arkansas fan completely made up a rumor that Vols catcher Evan Russell had tested positive for PEDs. The rumor, which was unprofessionally repeated during an ESPN broadcast, also stated that Tennessee's entire team was set to be tested for PEDs.
That rumor, of course, was inaccurate. Russell missed last Friday's game against Alabama State due to illness, which was later revealed by his father to be a combination of stress, anxiety, and pressure.
Tennessee is clearly living rent-free in the minds of Razorbacks fans.
And we got another example of that on Friday when Mason Choate, a reporter covering Arkansas for Rivals.com and SI.com, tweeted that Notre Dame is a "lock" to beat the Vols in the Super Regional this weekend.
That's certainly a take.
Now, to be fair, it's certainly possible that Notre Dame could win the best of three series in Knoxville this weekend. The Fighting Irish have a really good team. The Vols are the better team, but the better team doesn't always win. Maybe Notre Dame gets hot this weekend and cruises. I have no idea. No one does.
But to call Notre Dame beating Tennessee "the lock of the century"? That might be one of the most absurd takes I've ever seen — and I've seen a lot of absurd takes from people like Dan Wolken and Dennis Dodd. But this one takes the cake.
If Choate is looking for attention, he's getting it. But it might be at the risk of looking foolish in a few days.
