One of the Tennessee Vols' top 2023 recruiting targets is set to commit this week and he's predicted to land in Knoxville.

Four-star offensive tackle Sham Umarov, 6-foot-6/337 lbs from Alpharetta, GA (Denmark), is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 8.

On Wednesday, 247Sports national recruiting director Steve Wiltfong predicted that Umarov will commit to Tennessee.

Umarov is ranked as the No. 31 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 34 player in the state of Georgia.

Tennessee's main competition for Umarov is Georgia. The Bulldogs are reportedly making a strong push for the talented offensive lineman, but it appears the Vols have the edge right now.

Here's the scouting report on Umarov from 247Sports national recruiting analyst Cooper Petagna:

Demonstrates the ability to anchor at the point of attack, will need to continue to add muscle and improve play strength at the next level. Shows the ability to move defenders off the point of attack in the run game. Plays with a very good understanding of leverage and body control. Good athlete that can play in space at the second level and redirect. Flashes some nastiness with his ability to finish blocks.

Prototypical left tackle that possesses high developmental upside when projecting to the next level. Will need one to two years to develop in a collegiate strength and conditioning program but has a chance to develop into a high level multi-year starter at a Power Five program. Could potentially exceed projection with his high athletic ceiling.

Stealing Umarov from Georgia would be a tremendous end to the week for the Vols after missing on five-star offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa (committed to Miami) earlier this week.

Tennessee's 2023 recruiting class currently has 14 players committed to its 2023 recruiting class which is ranked No. 14 in the nation.
