Tennessee Vols' quarterback Hendon Hooker has been really special this season.
Everyone knows that.
He is firmly in the race for the Heisman Trophy, too.
Alongside Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud and North Carolina Drake Maye, Hooker is easily among the potential finalists for the award.
If he continues his impressive play, he could go home with the trophy at season's end. Hooker has been extremely efficient for the Vols this year, though.
That may be his biggest strength for Josh Heupel's offense.
The Vols' quarterback has just two interceptions so far this season. You read that correctly.
Hooker has thrown 24 touchdowns in that same timespan. Not to mention, he has ran for five TDs this year as well.
Hooker is taking care of the ball at a historic rate for the Vols. No other top quarterback in school history has done it anywhere near as well as him.
Keep in mind that the company mentioned in this statistic is the top QBs in Tennessee Volunteers history.
These aren't just any quarterbacks. Some of them are some of the most statistically-rich in SEC history. That includes Peyton Manning.
Hooker's success is a blend of his physical ability as well as the impressive offense around him.
The Vols have some of the best play-calling in the country. Those calls don't make the in-game decisions for Hooker, though.
He deserves his flowers for being an extremely smart quarterback in a fast-moving college football environment.
