The Buffalo Bills were finally able to secure their first division victory of the season in their 24-10 victory over the New England Patriots.

The Buffalo Bills were able to deploy a gameplan straight from the brain of Bill Belichick.

Bills Mafia knows all too well the kind of game that Belichick used to call against the Bills.

Long, methodical drives with plenty of runs to gas out the defense.

Sean McDermott did exactly that.

The Buffalo Bills were able to dominate time of possession and had, arguably, their most successful game on the ground all year. And it was another game in which the Bills topped 100 yards of offense on the ground.

The dagger in the game wound up being a 90+ yard drive that ate almost nine minutes off the clock.

Reminiscent of something that Belichick was notorious for doing against the Bills.

The Josh Allen effect

Josh Allen and company balled out, a much different tale than past games this season. While Allen may not be quite 100% with his reported UCL injury, he continues to defy the odds with highlight reel plays.

Injuries are still a major concern with this team as Von Miller was just placed on IR, Kaiir Elam was a healthy scratch, and a multitude of other serious injuries to top players.

The inactives list before the game was much shorter than it's been all season.

However, McDermott deployed what has been his mantra since joining the team, next man up.

Meanwhile, Shaq Lawson, who spent the past few seasons away from Buffalo, is emerging as a legitimate pass rusher in the league.

With Von Miller's absence, it was up to the young core of Boogie Basham, Greggory Rousseau, Shaq Lawson, and Tim Settle to hold down the fort.

Needless to say, it worked. Mac Jones was pressured early and often which wound up being the difference in this game.

The running game looked good, Allen looked in rhythm, and most importantly the Bills got a much-needed division victory.

Next week gives the Bills another opportunity for a division victory as they look to the Jets.
