The Buffalo Bills are incapable of escaping the weather, it seems. Not only do they expect cold weather in Chicago this weekend but the cold has already disrupted their week of preparation.

On Wednesday, the Bills announced they were set to depart on Thursday evening for Chicago "due to the inclement weather forecast on Friday." Days before the game even starts, the team's preparation is already being interrupted.

The crazy part is that this time, they're playing on the road and are still expecting to be a "Bills weather" kind of week.

But the cold has been a familiar foe all season long. Let's recap.

  1. The Bills quite literally lost a home game having to move their game against the Cleveland Browns to Detroit's Ford Field. The team had an extended stay there as it faced the Lions in a short week.
  2. Snow game vs. Miami! Great memories were made but for a second it seemed like a change of venue was even considered. Also, if snowballs count as a weather factor, you can claim the game was delayed because of it.
  3.  It disrupted the week of practice ahead of the match-up vs Bears.

Heck, the Bills' one true rival this season might just be the weather. This is already a rival with "trap game" vibes to it. Messing with the week of preparation doesn't make it any easier.

But hey. If it's too cold for them, it's just right for us. That's historically been the Bills' mentality. And they've been able to overcome it every time so far in 2022.

The Bills are 8.5-point favorites over the Bears this weekend. Buffalo knows better than to look past them since -losing record or not- the "Justin Fields Show" isn't one you can underestimate.

Last weekend, the Bills invited the Dolphins to run at them by prioritizing the passing defense and it worked. What will defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier be planning for this one?
