The Denver Broncos will be playing the Indianapolis Colts on primetime TV as they look to improve to 3-2 on the year. But they will see a familiar face over on the opposite sideline.

The offense hasn't been great for the Broncos, even though it was much improved last week as compared to how they have been on the season. It is kind of reminiscent of how the offense was a while back when Phillip Lindsay was running out of the backfield.

Like the Broncos, the Colts are dealing with some injuries to their running backs. So, they went and elevated Lindsay to their active roster for the game on Thursday night.

Superstar running back Jonathan Taylor will miss the game due to an ankle injury, which leaves Nyheim Hines, Deon Jackson, and now Lindsay to get the touches out of the backfield.

During his time here, he was amazing. Fans loved Lindsay, especially considering he was the hometown kid. However, there is a reason he is no longer on the team. After two straight 1,000 rushing-yard seasons, Lindsay started to decline.

While, like many of you Broncos fans, I love the guy, I don't think he will be a problem on Thursday night. He hasn't been a problem since his last good year in Denver, in 2019.

Before last week the Broncos hadn't allowed a team to rush over 100 yards on them and averaged 81 rush yards allowed per game. After giving up 212 rush yards, the Broncos now average 114 rush yards allowed per game, just because of the one bad game.

I still think this team is great at stopping the run, they just had a bad game last week. Look for them to get that number back down.

Of all defensive tackles who have played at least 75 run defense snaps, Dre'Mont Jones has the sixth-highest run stop percentage at 9.6%. The inside of the defensive line has been great at stopping the run and could do the same on Thursday.
