The Denver Broncos lost a brutal game to their division rival Las Vegas Raiders. It's certainly not how they planned their Sunday going. Especially with the way some things went down during the game.

While the offense was better than it has been this year, it still wasn't great in a few different areas. The offense couldn't get a first down, and, lost that battle 12-25, they dealt with major injuries, and they couldn't hold onto the ball.

Starting running back Javonte Williams ending up leaving the locker room after the game on crutches, and starting defensive lineman Randy Gregory left the game early on a cart.

In terms of losing the ball, no one will feel worse tonight than backup running back Melvin Gordon, who has dealt with the same issue all year.

After the game, Gordon was due his share of the media with a press conference, and he didn't handle it the way you may expect.

"Just got to be better man," Gordon told the media after the game when asked about his thoughts on the fumble. "There isn't an excuse for it. I don't want to get up here and tell you anything. That ain't right. I just got to be better. That's it."

Gordon was then about what happened on the fumble, and if he was trying to do too much.

"It doesn't matter if I'm trying to do too much, or if I feel this way or that way," Gordon explained. "My job is to go out there and make plays, and hold onto the ball and help put this team in the best position to win. I didn't do that today, but I'll be alright."

After answering that, he was asked about the Williams injury and having to possibly play even more.

"I have to for the team," Gordon said. "I care about them boys more than I do any fan or any person, especially when we are out there because it's just us. I make a mistake and first the guys are over to cheer me up and get me right. Them boys believe in me. I just got to do better."

Then, he was asked his final question of the night. The reporter asked how Gordon felt knowing he has been putting in the extra work in terms of ball security, and this still happened.

With his shades on, Gordon looked around, and simply just walked away.

I understand the frustration. It's tough. However, people are currently criticizing you for your play, and walking out of something you are required to do won't help you anymore.

Gordon needs to put this behind him and move past it. Mistakes happen, and you just have to work on them. Now, with the possibility of no Williams, Gordon will be asked to do more. Now, he needs to respond the right way, and possibly win back over Broncos Country.
