The Dallas Cowboys still have moves to make, so this isn't the final roster. Tyron Smith and James Washington will be headed to IR, for example. But this 53-man group is a starting point.

It was a creative roster cutdown by the Cowboys as their initial 53 features one quarterback, zero kickers, and no long snapper. This will change in the next few days as the team completes several injury-related moves so don't be surprised by some of the things on this initial list.

The Cowboys have a deeper defense and that fits their decision of carrying more players on defense than on offense as you will see below. Dan Quinn's usage of these players will be exciting to see as we're expecting plenty of creative defensive sets from the defensive coordinator.
