The opinions from the media of the Philadelphia Eagles are across the board. Some folks believe that they will struggle defensively again and remain mediocre. Others think that they will improve on both sides of the ball and contend for the NFC East. A former New York Giants defender has a strong belief in the Eagles this season.
Chris Canty thinks that the Eagles will win the division.
Canty spent eight years in the division. He knows the tenacity and competitive nature of it as good as anyone else, and he believes that the Eagles have the talent to win it.
He says that he loves what the Eagles have built on the defensive side of the ball. They added edge rusher Haason Reddick and cornerback James Bradberry as veteran difference makers. Young players like Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean are expected to step up, too.
The former Giants rusher also says that the Eagles have the best offensive line in the entire NFL. Canty believes that the addition of a WR1 in A.J. Brown will do wonders for QB Jalen Hurts as well.
It is certainly a bold take as the Cowboys are widely considered to be the favorites, but Canty is warning folks to stop sleeping on the Eagles.
