The Chicago Bears still haven't forgotten the New England Patriots' infamous "Deflategate" scandal that scandal that swept through the NFL in 2015.

Well, at least one Bears player hasn't.

Bears defensive lineman Justin Jones was asked a harmless question about Bill Belichick. More specifically, he was asked what is the first thing you think of when you hear Belichick's name?

Jones could've said something along the lines of defensive genius, great leader, or even something to describe his monotone voice whenever he appears at weekly press conferences.

But Jones went farther than that.

Instead, he went down the comedic route and brought up the Deflategate scandal that rooted itself to the NFL media for an entire year in 2015

Who knows if Jones was joking, or if he was actually serious by stating he heard the actions that were prevalent in Deflategate are still going on to this day.

Whatever the case may be, Jones' comments instantly injected a fine amount of intrigue into the game on Monday night, one where the Bears are looking to get back to .500.

Well, at least it did in theory.
