After a weekend seeing the Miami Dolphins (8-4) lose, the Buffalo Bills (9-3) won and reclaimed the AFC East lead.

To make matters better, the Kansas City Chiefs lost as well. Thanks to their victory in Arrowhead Stadium a few weeks ago, they are now the number one seed in the AFC playoff standings.

The Bills have always had a clear path to the top seed in the AFC and it's starting to come to fruition. Only thing missing? Free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr.

OBJ took visits with the Bills, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys these last few days.

However, his most recent visit, a two-day stay in Dallas may have Buffalo wanting to reconsider.

While some feel OBJ is removed enough from the injury and surgery that he could contribute for the end of the season and playoffs, there is concern that not only has the knee not progressed enough but that he might not even be medically cleared to play in the 2022 season at all!

This comes as a shock to everyone who is invested in this free agency tour. Likely including Buffalo Bills captain Von Miller who has been one of the most vocal names calling for OBJ's services.

Can the Bills afford to take a chance on Beckham now?

The combination of Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis has combined for 126 receptions, 1867 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns. Even seeing some quality contribution from Isaiah McKenzie with 35 receptions, 359 yards and four touchdowns.

What Beckham would provide is not only depth, but a route running technician like Diggs. Someone who would force defenders to back off fellow Bills receivers and respect everyone running routes.

With both Jake Kumerow and Jamison Crowder on IR, only Khalil Shakir remains as the Bills best depth piece but has been used sparingly on offense.

The Beckham news might cause Buffalo to back off the former All-Pro and look for help elsewhere.
