The New Orleans Saints have been looking for some depth on the backend of their defense. Recently, they signed free agent defensive backs Brian Allen and Quenton Meeks. Both veteran players, the Saints were willing to give them an opportunity to make an impact in the preseason. Unfortunately, as roster cuts continue, they were released today.
They weren't going to play a big part for the Saints' plan on defense. It also shows how much confidence they have in the players who have been around the team throughout all of training camp. They have confidence in their guys.
