The first half for the Denver Broncos against the Arizona Cardinals was eerily similar to most of their halves this year.

The defense played very well. The offense struggled to move the ball consistently. Special teams could have been better.

For the Broncos, it's a good thing that two halves are played in the NFL, though. In the second half. the offense looked much better. The running game started rolling and backup quarterback Brett Rypien was smart with the football.

The offensive line struggled mightily in front of Rypien in the first half. He got sacked six times. The Broncos scored just three points.

In the second half, he was sacked just once. Denver scored 21 points.

The offensive line looked like a different unit in the second half of the ball game.

Broncos' HC Nathaniel Hackett clearly saw that the running game was working and put it on that part of the offense's back to spark the second half.

Rypien had two turnvoers in the game, but he played well enough to get the win against a struggling Cardinals team.

Jerry Jeudy had another solid game for the Broncos. The young wideout caught seven passes for 76 yards.

Latavius Murray was the star of the offense for Denver. He was a work horse. Murray ran the ball 24 times for 130 yards and a touchdown. The veteran was dependable, and the Broncos needed it.

Nathaniel Hackett clearly adjusted the offensive game plan at half time. That alleviated some of the pressure on the offensive line and Rypien.

The Broncos continued their dominance over the Cardinals' franchise.
