Most of the attention surrounding the Green Bay Packers right now is on quarterback Aaron Rodgers and where he'll play in 2022.
It's understandable why that topic is dominating conversations — Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL.
But the Packers will be making other moves this offseason. And one of those moves could be to pursue a future Hall of Fame pass rusher.
According to NFL reporter Josina Anderson, the Packers are expected to be one of the teams in the mix this offseason for free agent edge rusher Von Miller.
The Packers could certainly use a pass rusher in free agency — especially if they release Za’Darius Smith.
And Miller, a former Super Bowl MVP and eight-time Pro-Bowler, could be an attractive option.
Miller, who turns 33 later this month, had a strong finish to the 2021 season for the Los Angeles Rams. The former Texas A&M standout totaled five sacks over the last four games of the regular season. Miller added four sacks in the playoffs. He still has plenty left in the tank.

How serious the Packers will be about landing Miller largely depends on what happens with Rodgers and wide receiver DaVonta Smith. There isn't necessarily a scenario that rules Green Bay out of pursuing Miller, but they won't have a clear picture of their salary cap situation — and what they can offer/how they can structure a contract — until Rodgers makes a decision.
Rodgers needs to hurry up. Because his decision impacts a litany of personnel decisions for the Packers.
