Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is quick enough to get out of trouble, but he's not going to win any races down the sidelines against opposing defensive backs or linebackers.
On Thursday, Mahomes poked some fun at this lack of elite speed after the official NFL Twitter account tweeted out a video of Mahomes' 40-yard dash run overlayed with the 40-yard dash attempts from Marcus Mariota, Russell Wilson, and Desmond Ridder.
Mahomes was the slowest of the group — and it was very apparent in the video.
I love that Mahomes has a good sense of humor about the video. That shows a lot of self-confidence.
Of course, it's probably easy to have a sense of humor about it when he's the best quarterback out of that group (and probably the best quarterback in the NFL right now).
Mahomes is the total package — great quarterback, elite teammate, and a tremendous person on and off the field.
