The Green Bay Packers will have superstar quarterback/wide receiver duo Aaron Rodgers and Devante Adams back in 2022.

That combination alone makes the Packers strong Super Bowl contenders in 2022. But Rodgers and the Packers could still use another wide receiver across from Adams — especially with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown likely leaving in free agency. And Randall Cobb could be a cap casualty (though Rodgers could insist on Cobb's return in 2022).

Green Bay has a short-term and long-term need at wide receiver, which makes it's likely that the franchise will look to take a wide receiver at some point in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Pro Football Focus recently named ideal scenarios for each NFL team to address their biggest need this offseason. And they think Green Bay should add a wide receiver through the draft. Specifically, they think the Packers should select Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams with the No. 28 overall pick.

From PFF:

The Packers are doing everything they can to keep their roster intact from a year ago, but that’s going to come at the expense of not being able to add talent. The good news is, after passing on two loaded receiver classes early on the past two years, they’ve been blessed with another bang. To replace a guy like Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who they are very likely to lose, an ideal scenario would be Alabama’s Jameson Williams falling into their lap after his ACL tear. The Packers don’t need him early on in 2022 to still win the NFC North, but they could use that vertical threat as a nice No. 2 option come playoff time.

This would be a great long-term pick for the Packers, as Williams tore his ACL back in January during Alabama's Colleg Football Playoff Championship Game loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Before the injury, Williams was likely a top 10 selection. So this would be a bit of a steal. The only downside is that it's unclear when Williams will return to the field. I'd say December would probably be the best-case scenario. I'd like this pick a lot for Green Bay — especially if Rodgers sticks around beyond 2022. Williams is an elite vertical threat when healthy and he could thrive playing with Rodgers. But this pick could also mean that Cobb can't be cut this offseason (the Packers are in a tough spot with cap space, and saving $6.7 million by releasing Cobb could be extremely important).

The Tennessee Titans could be a threat to take Williams at No. 26, so there's no guarantee that PFF's ideal scenario for the Packers will work out.
