Green Bay has reportedly been checking in on various wide receivers that could be available, including Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (though Seattle is understandably hesitant to engage in trade conversations about Metcalf).
One of the Packers' supposed targets was thought to be Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks, a reliable wide receiver who has gone over 1,000 receiving yards in his six of his eight NFL seasons.

Cooks, however, is no longer available. The former first-round NFL draft pick signed a two-year extension on Thursday with the Texans.
Cooks would've been a good fit for the Packers, thanks to his ability to stretch the field vertically.
With Cooks no longer an option, the Packers can keep trying on Metcalf, or they could pivot to San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who appears to be in the midst of a rift with his current team.
The Packers are motivated to add a top wide receiver to their roster. We'll see what happens, but I think Green Bay will find a way to get another offensive weapon this offseason for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
