Finding help at offensive tackle is a must for the Las Vegas Raiders.

With Josh McDaniels willing to try anything that will work at the right tackle position, it may be time for him and general manager Dave Ziegler to explore the trade market.

In a recent article by Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus, he named 10 players who may be on the move ahead of Week 1 in the regular season. That list included former second-round pick Teven Jenkins, who hasn't impressed in his time in Chicago.

Here is how Spielberger explained it:

"The Las Vegas Raiders used their first-round pick in 2021 on tackle Alex Leatherwood. He was relegated to the right guard spot to finish the 2021 campaign and frankly struggles regardless of where he lines up.

Jenkins could be an intriguing prospect at right tackle or right guard. Raiders assistant general manager Champ Kelly was with the Bears in 2021, so he has familiarity with Jenkins and perhaps insights on the ongoing situation in Chicago.”

The cost to acquire Jenkins is an early-round Day-3 draft pick. It is something Spielberger believes is worth the risk based on the team's current needs.

Yet, it also begs the question, is Jenkins an actual upgrade?

In his career, he has struggled to stay on the field. He's also been a perennial second-team player in practice in Chicago.

So, though intriguing, the unknowns surrounding Jenkins' ability to perform at a high level make this a hard move to rationalize for the Raiders.
