A couple of ESPN NFL writers made an extremely bold prediction for Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love in 2024.

ESPN's Matt Bowen and Lindsey Thiry both think Love will win his first NFL MVP award next season.

From ESPN: Bowen: Jordan Love, QB, Packers. Love has a dynamic and versatile group of pass catchers, plus a system that maximizes his throwing traits. He's in position to produce high-end numbers for a championship-level team.

Thiry: Jordan Love, QB, Packers. In his first season as a starter and surrounded by youth at the skill positions, Love surged from Week 11 on, leading the NFL in QBR, touchdown-to-interception ratio and combined touchdowns. Watch for Love to continue to progress and flourish under coach Matt LaFleur.

I don't think this prediction is a stretch at all.

Love had an MVP-caliber season in his first year as a starter with the Packers. This past season, Love accounted for 4,406 total yards and 36 total touchdowns (32 passing and four rushing).

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, this past season's MVP, accounted for 4,499 total yards and 29 total touchdowns.

Love's numbers are right there. In fact, there's an argument that Love should've received more MVP consideration this season.

If the Packers find a little more success in the win/loss column in 2024, there's no reason to think that Love won't be right in the thick of the MVP race.
