One of the Tennessee Vols' top 2025 recruiting targets is four-star athlete Cameron Sparks.
On Thursday, Sparks revealed his top six schools and he included Tennessee, along with Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Miami, and Auburn.
Sparks, 6-foot-3/210 lbs from Chattanooga, TN (Baylor School), is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 athlete in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee. He's also rated as the No. 42 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class (which means he's not far away from being a five-star recruit).
After naming his top schools, Sparks, who visited Knoxville this past weekend, told 247Sports that Tennessee is "home".
“They have always been home for me," said Sparks. "They were recruiting me at an early age and we have a great bond.”
Sparks, who is expected to play wide receiver in college, is on a 7-on-7 team with 2025 five-star Vols quarterback commit George MacIntyre. That's something that should obviously help Tennessee in this recruiting battle.
This is essentially a must-get player for the Volunteers. If Tennessee is going to consistently compete for national championships, they have to land elite in-state talent like Sparks. So far, the Vols have made Sparks a top priority and they're in a great position to land the talented athlete. But they'll have to continue to fend off programs like Georgia, Michigan, and Florida State over the next several months to secure a commitment from Sparks.

Not sure that makes much sense
