The NFL Honors are taking place on Thursday night.

In case you are unaware, it is a ceremony that honors the best players in the league. Awards such as MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year are awarded, and more.

A number of Dallas Cowboys players are in the running for these prestigious honors.

A to Z Sports' own Evan Winter, took a stab at predicting the award winners of the night and he had Dak Prescott as the winner of the Offensive Player of the Year.

Evan had this to say about the prediction:

Dak Prescott. The Cowboys QB led the NFL in passing touchdowns and QBR (ESPN's metric, not the traditional metric), while guiding the team to a 12-5 record and a division title. He also tied for the league lead in big-time throw rate (6.0%) and tied for the seventh-best adjusted completion percentage (77.6%) while having the third-lowest turnover worthy play rate (2.0%) among 32 qualifying quarterbacks with at least 284 dropbacks in the regular season, per Pro Football Focus. It was a great year for the signal-caller, it just unfortunately ended with a huge thud in the playoffs.

Dak had an MVP campaign forming around him up until the Cowboys got dismantled in the playoffs. Since that poor showing in the playoffs many of the Dallas Cowboys players winning any post-season awards has become an afterthought.

And frankly, as a fan, it can be hard to rationalize how your team is deserving of post-season awards when they let you down when it matters most year after year.

It is worth noting, Evan does believe that San Francisco 49'ers running back Christian McCaffrey should win the award.
