The high school teammate of one of the Tennessee Vols' top 2024 signees will visit Knoxville this spring.
2025 three-star wide receiver Edward Coleman told 247Sports this week that Tennessee is on his list of schools to visit this spring, along with Alabama, Florida, Florida State, and Ohio State.
Coleman, 5-foot-10/194 lbs from Savannah, GA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 46 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 62 wide receiver in the nation.
The talented recruit doesn't know a lot about Tennessee just yet. But he's interested in the Vols thanks to his former high school teammate, 2024 four-star quarterback Jake Merklinger.
Merklinger signed with Tennessee in December.
“I don’t know much now but I am interested because I hear good thing[s] about them," said Coleman to 247Sports. "And also, I have my old quarterback, Jake, in my ear about them.”
Coleman isn't a highly rated player right now, but that should be changing in the near-future considering he has offers from some of the biggest programs in the nation.
