We are still two months away from the NFL Draft, which means we'll have a lot of time to discuss what the Buffalo Bills will do when they are on the clock.

That said, here is my first seven-round mock for the Bills of draft season, and it kicks off with a bang.

Round 1, Pick 6 (via trade with New York Giants): WR Rome Odunze, Washington

Why not dream big? We've seen Brandon Beane get aggressive before when it comes to acquiring a receiver. A friendly relationship with his former colleague, and Giants general manager Joe Schoen makes this more likely to come to fruition. Buffalo sends pick No. 28, as well as their 2024 second-round and sixth round picks and next year's first-round pick for the No. 6 overall selection where they take the explosive Odunze.

Round 3, Pick 99: DT McKinnley Jackson, Texas A&M

Jackson is one of my draft crushes for the Bills. He is a tremendous run stopper, but can also provide Buffalo with a solid interior pass rusher next to Ed Oliver.

Round 4, Pick 129: WR Malik Washington, Virginia

Washington spent the majority of his college career dominating out of the slot, including hauling in a whopping 110 receptions in 2023. A skill group comprised of Stefon Diggs, Rome Odunze, Malik Washington and Dalton Kincaid with James Cook out of the backfield would be a massive upgrade from what the Bills put on the field in 2023.

Round 5, Pick 159: C Drake Nugent, Michigan

The Bills could save over $8 million against the cap if they were to release Mitch Morse, which would leave a whole at center. Nugent was a tremendous center at Michigan, and would bring a great balance of pass protection and ability to open up holes in the run game to become a starter for the Bills.

Round 5, Pick 162: S Jaylin Simpson, Auburn

Simpson was phenomenal in coverage in 2023, earning a PFF grade of 87.4 (if that's your thing). His forced incompletion rate was also 20 percent, which is well higher than the national average. While he isn't someone who can be stuck in the box for help in stopping the run, the Bills need someone to replenish the role that Micah Hyde will leave behind.

Round 6, Pick 197: EDGE Jasheen Davis, Wake Forest

Davis could end up being a Day Three steal. He had seven sacks and 30 hurries in 2023. The Bills need help off the edge, and could snag a true steal in the sixth round.

Round 6, Pick 202: CB Johnny Dixon, Penn State

Dixon had a tremendous week in Mobile at the Senior Bowl. He's a bit undersized, and may only be a slot guy at the NFL level, but having him groomed under the wings of Taron Johnson and handed the reigns when the time comes is a good succession plan for a late sixth-round pick.

Round 7, Pick 246: S Kenny Logan Jr, Kansas

Logan is a good dual-threat safety that can take away his zone on the back end, but also come up in the box and stuff the run. He's worth a seventh-round selection to see what they can get out of him.
