The NFL Combine is scheduled to start tomorrow and that means we are that much closer to the NFL Draft.
With the draft being close, there is no better time to start eyeing fits for teams around the league. I’ve been doing just that for the Cleveland Browns all week.
Today’s piece marks the final one, as we are now in the seventh round. Drafting this late is like throwing darts blindfolded, it is tough to hit the board.
Browns need to take WR Ryan Flournoy in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft
Pros: Flournoy brings typical size at 6-foot-1 and is a player who thrives at winning deep. When he gets the ball in his hands, Flournoy is a threat to break things wide open. Over the last two seasons, Flournoy has combined for over 1,800 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. Perhaps the Browns can get him as an uncredited free agent, but drafting him in the seventh ensures you get him.
Cons: Playing at Southeast Missouri State, the talent level is going to be a big jump for Flournoy. The potential late-rounder doesn’t have a great route tree, so that is something he is going to have to develop if he wants to stick in the NFL. A traits player over technique.
Final word
Cleveland is going to add a couple of wide receivers this offseason. Taking a late chance on Flournoy here makes more than enough sense to make happen. If it doesn’t pan out it was just a seventh-round pick at the end of the day.

The Browns could key in on these two players late.
