With the Denver Broncos expected to move from quarterback Russell Wilson this offseason, ESPN's Aaron Schatz thinks the franchise will turn to a veteran signal caller to run the offense for the next year or two.

Schatz predicted this week that Denver will sign veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill this offseason.

From ESPN: The Broncos, stuck with a mid-Round 1 pick that doesn't give them easy access to one of the top young quarterbacks, will sign Ryan Tannehill as their veteran caretaker quarterback for the next year or two.

Tannehill is coming off a five-year run with the Tennessee Titans that included a couple of trips to the playoffs and an AFC Championship game appearance.

The former first round draft pick struggled the last two seasons while dealing with injuries. But those struggles/injuries can be mostly attributed to playing behind a porous offensive line while also playing in one of the worst offensive schemes in the NFL.

Now, that's not to say that Tannehill, who will turn 36 this summer, would suddenly turn into an elite option at quarterback if he signs with Denver. But it would be a better situation than what he was in with the Titans. And after dealing with Mike Vrabel for five seasons, I think he'd be able to get along just fine with Sean Payton.
