ESPN personality Ryan Clark, a former NFL Pro-Bowler and Super Bowl champion, had some harsh words for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on Monday morning.

Clark suggested during "Get Up" on ESPN that Allen "is not great" after the Bills' most recent playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

"I think he (Allen) is ultimately talented, I think he's doing things with the football I've never seen done at that position," said Clark. "He's still not great. He's still not the winner that we always try to make him out to be. We keep making excuses for him like he's LeBron (James). Like before LeBron went to Miami, and took his talents to South Beach, and made the big three, this is what we always did."

"It's fine to say that he played great, but he didn't do enough," added Clark.

I'm not sure how you throw shade at Allen when he's the main reason the Bills have dominated the AFC East over the last several years. And this season, when it looked like Buffalo was going to lose the division for the first time since 2019, it was Allen that dug deep and rescued the Bills from a 6-6 record that looked like it was heading toward a non-playoff season.

Allen can only do so much. He went toe-to-toe with Mahomes on Sunday night, even accounting for more total yards than Mahomes did.

But ultimately, the Chiefs beat the Bills. It wasn't that Mahomes beat Allen.

Allen will be 28 years old next season. You know, the same age that Michael Jordan was when he won his first NBA championship (the addition of Scottie Pippen sure helped). It's not like the clock is ticking on Allen. He still has plenty of time to bring a championship to Buffalo. And regardless of the Bills' salary cap situation, the Super Bowl window isn't closed for Allen.
