The California native is rated as the No. 11 quarterback in the 2025 class and the No. 164 overall player in the nation.
Iamaleava, 6-foot-3/190 lbs, has made several visits to Tennessee, including a couple of visits during the 2023 season, but it's almost a certainty that he won't land in Knoxville after the Vols' recently picked up a commitment from 2025 five-star quarterback George MacIntyre.
So where will the younger Iamaleava play college football?
USF, which is coached by former Tennessee offensive coordinator Alex Golesh, is among the the programs that's extended an offer to Iamaleava. Golesh was obviously key in Nico's recruitment, so it's not a surprise that he's showing interest in Madden.
Deion Sanders and Colorado are also among the programs showing interest in the talented quarterback. The Buffaloes offered Iamaleava earlier this month.
For now, it doesn't appear that there's a leader for Iamaleava. And he hasn't taken any reported visits to a program other than Tennessee.
Whoever lands Iamaleava, however, will be getting one of the more underrated players in the 2025 recruiting class. The four-star recruit looks like a five-star on tape, showing an ability to throw accurately on the move while doing damage with his feet when necessary.
Scouting report via 247Sports: Iamaleava has had a strong junior season and showed he’s deserving of all the attention and early scholarships he received this off-season. Iamaleava didn’t start a game until this year after backing up his older brother Nico Iamaleava, who’s a freshman at Tennessee. Like his older brother, Iamaleava is a two-sport standout and a talented volleyball player but his future is definitely at quarterback. He has always had a strong arm but has made a nice jump in poise, accuracy and maturity. He shows dual-threat ability and although he doesn’t run a ton, he has very good pocket mobility and can extend plays. He’s a tough kid, highly competitive and as the game continues to slow down for him, he’ll make another big jump.
I wouldn't be surprised if Colorado puts the full-court press on Iamaleava this summer. He has the skills to be a lethal playmaker in the Buffaloes' offense.
Over the next few months, we should get a better idea of where the younger Iamaleava will land. Tennessee fans should just hope that it's somewhere outside of the SEC.
