A former Tennessee Vols quarterback is in the market for a new job after not being retained this past week by new Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce.
Pierce, who had the interim tag removed from his title last week, reportedly isn't retaining offensive coordinator Bo Hardegree.
Hardegree, who played at Tennessee from 2003 to 2006, started the 2023 season as the Raiders' quarterbacks coach. He was later promoted to interim offensive coordinator after Mick Lombardi was fired.
It wouldn't be a surprise if Hardegree lands with the New England Patriots as an offensive assistant. Hardegree was teammates at Tennessee with new Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo. And Hardegree was also on staff in New England in 2021 with Mayo.
A reunion between the former teammates in New England would seemingly make a lot of sense. Either way, the former Vol shouldn't have any issues finding a job in the NFL for the 2024 season after doing a solid job as the Raiders' interim offensive coordinator in 2023.
