The Buffalo Bills, once again, are dealing with some major injuries across the board. If this were to stand, and these players are inactive, this would be a crushing blow for a team that desperately needs help on the defensive side of the football.
Sean McDermott opened up to the media on a concerning string of injuries, updating the fanbase of a slew of key starters who would not be practicing today, and that their injury designation is considered "day to day."
Specifically, McDermott announced that CB Christian Benford, S Jordan Poyer, S Micah Hyde, and DE Leonard Floyd would not be practicing today. Additionally, the team announced that LB Terrel Bernard would be limited as he's in the concussion protocol.
Benford is dealing with a hamstring suffered in the loss to the Bengals. Poyer is dealing with a leg injury and Floyd and Hyde are battling an illness currently.
Now, as we mentioned, this doesn't put them out of the contest on Monday, but it doesn't have us very excited at what an already depleted defense might look like without arguably their best pass rusher, cornerback, both starting safeties, and a starting linebacker.
Get the bubble wrap out and do whatever you need to do to get these guys healthy so they can be on the field against the Denver Broncos who are fresh off a historic victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
At the end of the day, the offense needs to figure things out and Josh Allen being at practice does ease our concerns a little bit. This year has been plagued by season-ending injuries and inefficiencies on both sides of the football.
With the NFL season officially halfway complete, the team is going to dig deep with a brutal stretch of games coming up.
DaQuan Jones just gave the Bills Mafia a big reason to celebrate
The Buffalo Bills have been depleted on defense with injury after injury. Star defensive tackle DaQuan Jones took to social media with an inspiring message.
