NFL Network's Ian Rapoport gave an injury update for the Cincinnati Bengals' duo of star wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on Friday morning and it was a mixed bag of news.
Rapoport noted that Chase has "just a bruise" with no structural damage to this back. The feeling is that the former LSU star will do all he can to play on Sunday against the Houston Texans.
The news wasn't quite as good for Tee Higgins, who suffered a hamstring pull during practice on Wednesday.
According to Rapoport, Higgins is expected to be out for Sunday's game against the Texans. Rapoport also noted that Higgins is expected to be week-to-week moving forward.
The Bengals follow up this Sunday's game against the Texans with a Thursday night game against the Baltimore Ravens, which means it's certainly possible that Higgins could miss two games in a row.
