Dallas Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons was on fire against the Carolina Panthers, racking up 2.5 sacks and two tackles for loss in Week 11.
His elite speed was on display as he rushed off of the edge, from the interior offensive line, and as an off-ball linebacker. However, that doesn't mean his day was as smooth as he made it seem.
According to multiple reports, Parsons vomited twice on the sideline during the game. Cowboys officials later that he wasn't sick, which probably raised more questions. Micah answered them postgame.
The Defensive Player of the Year candidate revealed that he took C4 energy powder before the game.
"I got some water to help put it down," Parsons told reporters postgame via The Athletic's Jon Machota. "By the fifth play, it felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest. I felt like I was about to explode. I'm never doing that shit again."
According to Medical News Today, C4 energy powder is a "workout supplement line from Cellucor that people may take before exercise to help increase energy, alertness, and strength. They contain caffeine and creatine, which may help increase the effectiveness of a workout."
Listed as a side effect is "rapid heart rate," which checks out with Parsons' comments.
Parsons' decision not to do it again will probably pay off. Don't fix what ain't broken. He doesn't need it to wreck games as we've learned before. Fortunately, it didn't seem to affect him on the field, and appeared fine postgame.
The Cowboys improved to 7-3 by beating the Panthers 33-10. Now, they'll turn their attention to the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving with a healthy squad following Week 11.

After his pick six against the Carolina Panthers in Week 11, Cowboys CB Daron Bland now has 4 interceptions returned for a touchdown. That's tied for […]
